Determination of Time-since-injury of Fractures in Infants and Young Children Using Deep Learning
TS-005767 — This deep learning system, created to address a critical gap in child abuse evaluations, is built to estimate the time‑since‑injury healing fractures in infants and young children using radiographic imaging. The technology applies AI models to skeletal images of long‑bone fractures to generate more precise and objective estimates of fracture age than current subjective methods.

Development of New Software to Recognize Novel Patterns of Swallowing in Infants Undergoing Testing for GERD
TS-005520 — This new testing process, with both clinical and research applications, has been developed to characterize biomarkers of swallowing rhythms, patterns, and oral feeding abilities in the evaluation of GERD (gastro-esophageal reflux disease). This method of testing expands upon pH-Impedance testing (pH-IMP), the standard for evaluating GERD, utility without adding additional strain on patients at the point-of-care by developing characterization of swallowing patterns using software during feeding sessions and lead to new therapies to be examined.

Stuttering Treatment Monitoring App
TS-000540 — A team led by Dr. Christopher Bartlett at Nationwide Children’s Hospital has developed an app to connect patients with a personalized plan created by speech therapists to aid those with a stutter. This app combines audio-visual components with text to explain an exercise, which is then recorded as the client performs it. The team expanded on this concept to include a deep neural network to provide immediate feedback, as well as the option to connect and share results on social media and with their therapist. The care provider will be able to add exercises as their patient progresses. Once an exercise is mastered, the exercise is opened permanently to the client.
