A Field Guide to Navigating Multi-Site Project Management

A how to guide for beginner stage clinical research professionals and a refresher manual for seasoned research professionals engaged in multi-site study management.

A valuable component of clinical research is the training of the next generation of professionals. Director of Clinical Research Services, Dr. Grace Wentzel, and her team have developed an all-encompassing guide that serves as a manual to train and as a course to reestablish the skills and values instilled in researchers involved in multi-site study management. This guide is available for use at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and beyond.

Benefits:

There are multiple clinical research training programs developed by industry leaders which are costly (up to $5,000 per person), require travel and assume one-way learning is sufficient for successful study management. Our program is unique to academic medical centers/the clinical research sites’ role in multi-site project management. The program is designed to be a how-to guide, not just an overview of multi-site project management responsibilities. The material offered currently is targeted at the Clinical Research Officer/Sponsor side of things.

Stage of Development:

Content is finalized and being updated regularly.

Potential Applications/Markets:

A robust multi-site project management training program that external clients can purchase and then utilize to train clinical research professionals at their institution. Potential markets include academic medical centers, private hospitals or research centers conducting clinical research.
