This new composition of matter is a set of novel mouse alleles engineered to investigate the functional roles of Ift70a1 and Ift70a2, the two murine paralogs of the human IFT70A gene (also known as TTC30A), which arose through gene duplication in mice. This gives a robust platform for mechanistic discovery, validation of pathogenic variants, and proof‑of‑concept testing of potential therapeutic interventions targeting ciliary transport dysfunction.
